On a very sunny Sunday, on the 22nd April, our fabulous marathon team took to the streets of London with over 30,000 runners to complete the world famous Virgin London Marathon 2012. In its 32nd year, the streets were lined with cheering crowds, dancers and music every step of the way. The race was tough, feet were sore, but ORBIS could not have been prouder to be represented by such a fantastic team of individuals.

Run for Charity and Save Sight
There are 39 million blind people in the world, yet 80% of this blindness could be avoided if access to the right treatment was available.
ORBIS works to provide the skills, training and facilities needed to cure and prevent blindness in developing countries. In addition to building up a country’s eye care infrastructure, ORBIS promotes public awareness of blindness treatment and prevention and advocates for national policies affecting eye health.
With your help we can reach people where the need is greatest and restore sight and livelihoods.
