Ophthalmology Nursing Conference

Janet is an outstanding and incredibly accomplished nurse. She brings to ORBIS a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Janet was recently named one of the 20 most influential nurses in British History by the UK's Royal College of Nursing |

for her involvement with ophthalmology advancement and nursing practices worldwide. Professor Marsden went out as a consultant on the Flying Eye Hospital programme in 2010 to Da Nang, Vietnam, and will be opening the first ever Ophthalmic Nursing Conference in the Philippines' history. |

Ann-Marie Ablett, RN

Ann-Marie is a wonderful nurse leader and educator with post-graduate qualifications and current clinical expertise. she has written features about her ORBIS experience for medical press and was nominated as a Volunteer of the Year finalist at the Third Sector Excellence Awards in September 2005. |

She has travelled with the Flying Eye Hospital to Indonesia, India, Laos, Syria, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, China, Cuba, Tanzania and the Philippines. Her contribution and commitment to our sight-saving work is invaluable. |

The ORBIS Flying Eye Hospital travels around the world each year, working to save sight through hands-on training, public health education, and improved access to quality eye care in developing countries. |

The ORBIS DC-10 aircraft will be also on display at Conoco Phillips Plaza, AirVenture's showcase aircraft area, at the Oshkosh Show and attendees will have a chance to tour the aircraft and meet the team.
