ORBIS is one of eight charities encouraging amateur and freelance journalists to put International Development on the world's news agenda. We have teamed up with The Guardian to provide topics for journalists to write about when entering the International Development Journalism Competition 2010.

The competition and discussion of ORBIS's work in The Guardian will ensure that our sight-saving work and ethos of training local eye care teams to ensure better eye care in developing countries reaches even more people. These themes, along with others from our partnering charities will be brought to the fore through this exciting collaboration with The Guardian.
